Exciting new opportunity to join the world’s leading provider of events & information for the fast-moving tech market, joining the senior management team looking after 5 marketers as well as assisting with business growth & special projects.
Main Areas of Responsibility…
• Responsible for all marketing-related functions managing a marketing team of five (and manage relationships with freelance designers and other suppliers from time to time)
• Lead and agree the marketing strategy through market, customer and competitor analysis.
• Work with commercial team to develop ideas for product development, whether enhancements to existing products, or new events/products.
o Create and communicate a strategic road map for all products, ensuring that they meet customer expectations and continue to evolve in line with market changes and internal strategic developments
o Work with business development colleagues, to identify new product opportunities based on business capabilities and clearly articulated market needs; where appropriate, create new business cases.
• Plan and implement budget spend of marketing services to maximise ROI in agreement with the business.
• Optimise cross marketing opportunities between products
• Responsible for the marketing profitability: delegate and subscription revenue
• Position the products clearly and effectively in the minds of the target audience and to engage with that audience in order to generate revenue.
• Define and oversee effective marketing messages via all appropriate channels (including engaging with appropriate external partners) with an emphasis on online, social, email, content marketing and telesales.
• Use customer analytics (e.g. customer behaviour, campaign results) to develop go-to market activities.
Experience:
– Proven record of delivering growth through marketing within B2B markets
– Expertise in events marketing: preferably international events
– Deep experience in B2B marketing
– Proven track record of product development and demonstrable experience in generating revenue from new product development
– Energetic, creative and collaborative mind set and approach
– Thorough knowledge of all channels of B2B marketing: email, referral, affiliate and display advertising
– Knowledge of social media marketing
– In-depth knowledge of and experience in successful content marketing
– Business leader and inspiring manager of people
