Overview…To help grow the sponsorship division for a recently formed event business in the ICT/Tech sector developing the best-in-class, must-attend business technology events for the US markets.
Skills & Expertise Required…
• You have a proven track record of success, preferably in the IT Tech/Data space
• You are above all a natural team player and excellent communicator, capable of building and leading a highly profitable team,
• You will have a background in sponsorship sales management, excel at developing profitable events
The Role…This is a senior management position within ta new launch start-up team in the US, you will be responsible for growing the client’s sponsorship and exhibition revenue across the event portfolio.
Responsibilities…
Strategic Management
• Strategic direction of a division within the Sales function to hit and over-perform on sales targets & KPI’s – this includes both personal sales and team sales
People Management
• Provide visionary leadership of the sales function
• Ensures a strong team culture, aligned with business needs
• Development of the sales executives (skills, knowledge & process) and provision of appropriate training solutions
Competencies & Qualifications…
• Exemplary, proven leadership skills
• Extensive experience of sales team management within a B2B environment
• Proven track record of consistent achievement of own and team revenue targets
• Excellent application of a consultative sales approach
• Highly driven, entrepreneurial approach
Experience Required…
– A top university graduate
– Five years plus experience working in B2B event sponsorship, exhibition sales or commercial summit sales (preferably with experience in the IT/Tech sector)
– Demonstrating a strong aptitude for researching and presenting ideas, and excellent written communication skills
– Tenacious and determined in achieving objectives
– A strong commercial instinct
